Am I the only one who thinks that Star Trek Axanar is a step backwards for the franchise? Was Gene's dream a galaxy of war and terrorism, or one of peace? What has happened to the peace makers?

Major General Oliver Savander SR RRO R2 ------------------------------------------------------------ Ladies and Gentlemen of the Fleet; You can now order the 40th Anniversary Items. We have the Challenge Coins($10.00), the Lapel pins ($7.00 Color) and the new patch ($6.00). I have not been able to get the pictures to upload to the store site and have requested help in that area but the items should be there and ready for purchase. I have to admit that they are beautiful. I am sending a couple dozen of each to the IC to be sold by the SFI Quartermaster Stand In, Dave Blaser in the IC 2015 Hospitality Suite. If you purchase your 40th Anniversary Item at the IC you will avoid the shipping and handling, but will have to pay any applicable sales tax for the area. If you purchase from the Online Store you will avoid the tax, (except in Florida and North Carolina) but will need to pay the shipping and handling. However, I am making an offer to anyone wishing to order directly from me and pay the paypal account in advance of the IC If you are willing to pick up the item at IC and get your order to me and paid for by Monday the 28th, I can send the item along with the shipment to the quartermaster with your name on it and thus avoid both the tax and the shipping charges. This is only for orders sent to my personal email address, Dragonladye@wildblue.net and processed thru paypal before Monday the 28th for those folks who can pick up their merchandise at the IC 2014. So lets get those orders coming. And if you are on the fence about attending the IC but want "stuff" maybe this will help you make up your mind. I have also make this same offer to the SFMC concerning their merchandise. So let me hear from you folks who want "stuff" and are going to IC 2014. Major General Oliver Savander SR RRO R2 ------------------------------------------------------ Members: To ensure that our organization is staying in compliance with North Carolina non-profit corporation statute, we have started the process of transcribing the AB Meeting recordings into minutes. This process isn’t one that can be performed overnight, as the Admiralty Board (our Board of Directors) are required to review the minutes of these meetings and then officially approve them during a meeting (which, according to North Carolina statute, must be either face-to-face or via teleconference). This past Saturday, the AB met and two sets of minutes were reviewed and approved. Those minutes are from the AB Meetings held on January 25, 2014 and May 31, 2014. These two were the first transcribed and reviewed as these were actually requested by a member of our organization. The March, 2014 and April, 2014 AB Meeting minutes are being finalized for review to be voted on at the next AB Meeting. As members of our organization, you have the right to view these documents at any time, upon request. I asked the Admiralty Board during our meeting if they had any issues/concerns with just having these minutes available through our website, and none had concerns. Therefore, these documents have been added to the STARFLEET website and are available for review. When you go to the Resources (Forms/Downloads) tab, you will now see a section entitled “Admiralty Board (AB) Minutes”. The two approved sets of minutes are there for your current review. As new sets are approved and added, I will post updates to the membership, so that those interested can go out and review at their convenience. Going forward each month the last month’s minutes and at least one month of the past minutes (starting with December 2013 and going backward) will be presented to the AB for their review/approval. This is a step toward bringing STARFLEET in compliance with required North Carolina statute. If you have any questions, please let me know.
